The 49th Super Bowl is being held in Phoenix and that means- celebrations all around! Here are some local happenings to enjoy leading up to game day. 

Verizon Super Bowl Central
From January 28th-February 1st 12 block of Downtown Phoenix will be a daily football-themed celebration consisting of live music, NFL signings, photo sets, beer and wine gardens, and nightly fireworks! Free admission and Family Friendly! 
Wednesday-Saturday 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. (Beer garden open until midnight Friday and Saturday; Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

TrueDTPHX
Held at Civic Space Park, TrueDTPHX is a free, local music festival happening Pro Bowl Weekend (January 23rd-24th). In addition to local acts and interactive art by Isaac Caruso, there will also be food trucks, local craft breweries, and a solar powered stage. Free and family-friendly!

Friday Jan. 23rd- Indie pop and electronica 7pm-10:30pm

Saturday Jan. 24th- Jam-rock and dance 3-10:30pm

Shop Local @ Phoenix Public Market
The weekly Farmers Market will expand on Saturday Jan. 24th and Saturday Jan. 31st to include local retail vendors in addition to the farmers market. Celebrate, eat, drink, and shop locally and support your local businesses!

"Super Bowl" Old School- 90s R&B and Hip Hop Dance Party
Crescent Ballroom is holding the old school dance party Friday 1/30 starting at 9pm. DJ Slick 76 and DJ Melo spin classics like TLC, Prince, Salt-n-Pepa, OutKast, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Destiny’s Child, and Dr Dre. 21+ Tickets $3-$5

Direct TV Super Fan Fest
This 3-Day music fest takes place January 28th-30th at the Direct TV Stadium in Glendale. Zac Brown Band, Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons and Snoop Dogg will be headlining the festival. Tickets are still available with day passes going for $99, and general admission 3-day packages are $250. Glendale will also be offering free concerts at the Westgate Entertainment District as part of the Super Music Series Jan. 28th- Feb. 1st. Headliners include The Chainsmokers, Eli Young Band and Los Lobos. Local artists will open each night's set! http://westgateaz.com/supermusic/

"The Night Before" concert at US Airways Center on Jan. 31st will include performances by Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line. Info + Tickets here
